with Elusa Blanche Armagnac
Hugo Spritz
Elderflower, mint, lime. Lighter than an Aperol — and twice as drinkable.
Ingredients
- 25ml Elusa Blanche Armagnac
- 25ml elderflower liqueur (St-Germain or similar)
- 75ml prosecco, well chilled
- 50ml soda water
- Cubed ice
- Mint sprig + lime wheel (garnish)
Method
- 1
Fill: Pack a large balloon wine glass with cubed ice.
- 2
Build: Pour in the Blanche and the elderflower liqueur.
- 3
Top: Add the prosecco first, then the soda — pour gently down the side of the glass to keep the bubbles.
- 4
Garnish: Slap a generous mint sprig between your palms to release the oils, drop it in, and slide a lime wheel down the side.

When to Serve
Aperitif. Garden lunches, summer evenings, warm-weather brunches. The Hugo is the antidote to the Aperol fatigue — lighter, drier, less syrupy. Elusa Blanche Armagnac sneaks in some real spirit warmth without weighing the drink down. Serve alongside the Orange Spritz for the perfect "two spritz" summer table.
