The Story +
The orange is Spanish Lanelate navel, selected for aromatic zest, not juice yield. Fine zest, zero white pith, infused in Blanche Armagnac for 48 hours.
Restrained spice: clove out at 18 hours, star anise at 28, cinnamon and vanilla at 48. Then cold crashed for 48 hours at 2–4°C for clarity.
Cointreau uses neutral grain spirit. We use Armagnac. The difference is in every sip.

Everyone I served it to loved it and immediately wanted to know what it was and where I'd got it. Lots of 'you have to try this' as it was passed around! Bright, fresh and beautifully balanced. We enjoyed it with English sparkling wine on Christmas Day and it was perfect.
